Reform the Military Installation Development Authority

Through MIDA, the Air Force at Hill Air Force Base was able to obtain much needed facilities to replace dilapidated World War II era buildings, but MIDA was later used to implement projects well outside the scope of its intended authority. Legislation is needed to restrict MIDA to its original mission and if we determine that mission is complete, MIDA needs to be phased out.
